About the Support Group

Even though the permanent stoma rate is exceptionally low in the Marks Colorectal Surgical Associates practice, many patients have an ileostomy or colostomy at least temporarily. The Ostomy Support Group meets once a month so that people living with a stoma can share their experiences, tips, and tricks and help put all this in perspective. You’re not only not lost, you’re not alone. An experienced nurse or PA from the practice facilitates the support group meetings.
